Cha Wa nominated for a Grammy
This week New Orleans' Chaw Wa was nominated for a Grammy for Best Regional Roots Music Album. I have been fortunate enough to have been involved in several Grammy nominated albums, and I know just how important it is in the career of an artist. Produced by Galactic's Ben Ellman, and mixed / mastered by Count (Vertebrae Productions), this Mardi Gras Indian funk/brass album titled "Spyboy" has been described as “an impeccable blend of traditional New Orleans street music styles transformed into a modern mix of fiery, toe-tapping sounds.” Its a huge day for the band and I am glad I was able to be a part of making this unique album.
